Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
my ex-husband sends me $400 per month child support. in turn, i send him back $300 due to the fact that he pays $300 per month for my car which is under his name. this is all to keep straight with the attorney general to show that i am getting a total of $400 per month.
now, my ex is filing bankruptcy and it covers 2 other cars he owns and he has to give mine up. the dealer will not work anything out with him and they will be repossessing my car soon.
what can i do?

Is there any possibility that YOU could work out something directly with the dealer? My guess is that if the note is current, he really doesn't want to repossess the car.
You'll want to talk to the ex-husband about this.
On the other hand, this could be a golden opportunity - if you're currently having problems with the car, you simply let it be repossessed, and it won't be a black mark on your credit.
Or: After the car "goes back" (you'll be the first to know!), contact the dealer and tell him that you've always wanted a used 2002 Toyota Camry. Check the Blue Book online, and offer to pay full value.
