Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

(Ex-Step) Mom wants daughter

My first marriage, his third. He and his new

girlfriend are about to ship my 15-year-old

daughter (I've NEVER used the word STEP-) to a

rehab for depression and refusal to 'obey.' Her bio

mom is a ward of the state and out of the picture.

They are threatening her that CPS will make her

go. I am, and always have been, a mother LION.

For 10 years, I gave up everything for my children,

and endured abuse from my husband in order to

stay as long as I did. Where can I turn in Texas for

help to get custody?

You can't get custody. He's the father. Unless you can prove he's unfit, there's not much that can be done. The CPS would not get involved. Since she's 15, she might (not sure) be able to become emancipated, then she can live where she wants.
