Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I'm the ex-wife and I have been subpeonaed by the ex-girlfriend to appear in court regarding a custody hearing. They served the subpeona to my minor daughter not me. Do I have to show up? Why would I be served?

A subpoena has to be served personally; service on somebody else isn't effective service.

However, I'll bet you that the bum of a process server wrote on the return that he served you personally.

Do you live more than 150 miles from the courthouse?
