family adoption or garden custody

im 21 going on 22 and i wanted to take custody over my nephew he is 8 years old. his mom is willing to give me custody of him, she is not caring of him and is unfit to takecare of him and his father is in prision. what to i have to do go or call, whats the process, how long does it take, and how much does it take, i need some information, thank you

You need a lawyer. You will have to file a Suit Affecting Parent Child Relationship. could take 45-60 days if everything goes OK. How much? Shop around. It doesn't cost you anything to ask.
