Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Family

My fiance and I were together for 11 years and have a child together. He was injured on the job almost 2 years ago and has a lwasuit pending. I supported the family during this time. We have since split up and he is not paying child support. Can I file a lien against any kind of settlement he receives in order to get part of his settlement?

Re: Family

You should go talk with a good family law attorney. If there is a child support order in place and he isn't paying and has a history of not paying, you should be able to claim part of the settlement to pay the back support and might be able to get or tie up some of the rest of it to secure future support.

This is not something the AG will do for you. You are going to need an attorney of your own.
