Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

We have an AOP in place but the military will not acknowledge it as valid. So my son cannot get enrolled in the insurance programs or get any other services. Do we need to go through an adoption process or is there another way to handle this? He is listed as the father on the birth certificate and our son has his last name.

Doesn't sound like you have an order of the Court. Sounds like you are not married to the father, so you will probably need a Suit Affecting the Parent Child Relationship with a finding by the Judge that he is the father and requiring him to support the child. Good Luck.
