Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Family Law

In my child custody papers it states that I may not move out of the county/and surrounding counties of residence. However I want to know what I can do to change that to be able to move.

Re: Family Law

It might be difficult. Most judges do not want one parent to remove a child from the other parent. On the other hand, it is possible under the right circumstances.

You should hire an experienced family law attorney for this.

Generally, you will have to file a modification action and ask to have the geographic restriction lifted or modified. If the other parent does not agree to the change the restriction you may not get what you want.
