Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Family Law - Child Visitations

I am the non-custodial parent but have joint managing conservatorship of our children in the divorce decree. My children are refusing to go with me for visitation. They say they do not want to go. The court order reads: ''Custodial Parent is ORDERED to surrender the child to Non-custodial parent at the beginning of each period........'' Question: What exactly does this mean? Are the children (ages 12 and 7) allowed to choose to not go? If not, what are the responsibilties of each parent?

Thank You!

Re: Family Law - Child Visitations

You're correct. Visitation is ordered. Might be a good idea to find out why they don't want to go. Might save you some headaches and heartaches in the near and distant future. Good Luck.
