Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Family law
Hello,
Do you think that you might be able to help a hurting heart?
I had an affair with a married woman. I know that was wrong. It ended when her husband came back home. She now has a child that I believe is mine. I want to be a good Daddy, and I am convinced that the child is mine. I need to know what I can possibly do to have a relationship with my baby. She will not be reasonable with me because she wants to save her marriage. How can I make a move without getting in trouble with the law? How can I get the right to be a real Dad? What can I do within the boundries of the law?
I would surely appreciate any advice from a qualified person who has had experience with a matter like this.
Thank You Very Much,
Corey

Re: Family law
You could file a paternity suit. The parternity suit would establish whether you were the father. If it turns out that you were the dad you could file a Suit Affecting the Parent Child Relation (SAPCR). This action would establhin your visitation rights. However as non custodial parent, you would end up paying child support.
