Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Family Law
I am from India and have been married and settled in the US for quite some time now.
Recently, my younger brother who is a software engg, came to the US on a project. He recently called me frantic for help.
As per him, he met some girl at his company in Bangalore 4 years back and liked her. Within a month, the girl proposed to him, but since she belongs to a different religion he didn't say anything. Apparently, the girl started abusing him, threatening him and tried to beat him up. My brother realised she was mentally unsound and tried to break off with her by firmly telling her off and stopping all communication, but she threatened to kill herself and implicate him and has been since obsessed with him.
He never said anything to us,tried to keep away from her, but apparently she has constantly been stalking him. After he came to the US, she had been calling him everyday and threatening to kill herself and finally came to the US 3 days ago on a project. My brother swears he has never had any physical relations with her or encouraged her in any way. Tried to contact and tell her parents , but apparently they don't want to have anything to do with her. Now she is in the US,

Re: Family Law
Your brother should contact the police and file a charge of stalking. He needs to provide all of the facts you describe here.
Additionally, he should retain a lawyer to file for a protective order; or at the least, an injunction, so that he has a court order to keep her away. Good luck.
