Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

family law- interstate- parents never married

just met with disstrict court judge. father contested personal jurisdiciton and won arguement. I have subject matter jurisdiciton. I will go to texas attny general to request collection of child support. his attorney wants to call mine and reach some agreement. What could that possibily be? also, can the father turn around and try to sue for full custody? he said he would do that if texas exercised personal jurisdiciton over him. Or after all is said and done the father is out of the child's life forever now? Father lives in Florida, I live in Texas. If I ever go to Florida, could he serve papers against me?
