Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Family law - Lawyer no show at court

What can I do if my lawyer does not show up at court for the final decree? It has taken almost 2 1/2 years just to get to court on a simple child custody and divorce (non contested) and we were told that she may not be in court this week when it is scheduled.

Call and talk with her. If you are still dissatisfied, and unwilling to wait, you are able to get another lawyer to conclude the matter. (If the newest delay, however, is brief; it may be less of a wait than substituting in a new attorney).
