Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Family Law

Is it legal to record conversations between my daughter and her mother, without either of them knowing, when she calls my house. If it is legal, would it be submissable in a family court?

Re: Family Law

There are Texas and federal criminal statutes that prohibit recording conversations that do not involve a person who has agreed to have the conversation recorded.

There are a few situations in which judges have allowed a parent to record conversations between a child an the other parent. Those cases have involved improper comments by the other parent.

I suggest you consult a lawyer before you record anyone.
