Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Family Law
I am married and my husband is a extreme alcholic. He drives when I am at work or at church and I want to know how I can protect myself financially. He has been in the hospital/ rehab several times and he turns right back to alchol. He says he does not want to stop.

You have not received a response before now, my guess, is that there is no good answer to your question. An extreme alcoholic, especially one that is driving (with your knowledge even), is a financial nightmare waiting to happen. You can start separating your assets to the best of your ability; however, there are circumstances that could affect your entire community estate, as well as you personally. If you choose to remain married, then to some extent, this is a risk you choose to accept.
