Can a grandparent that does not work try to take away my niece from her daddy that adopted her when she was 6 months old . Her mother died 2 years ago and now the grandmother is trying to get custody - my niece is very well treated and is a great child and loves her daddy. He is all she knows, she is now 7 years old and he is the only daddy that she has ever known.

I guess she could try anything. Certainly the child's happiness is an big issue, but sometimes these things turn on what is legal. So it may come down to the legality of the adoption. Better hope that has all the i's dotted and t's crossed. Good Luck.
