Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Family Law

My son, Greg, is in the Navy stationed in Everett, WA. He has a 17 month-old daughter (they are not married). Gregs name is on the birth certificate and he pays child support each month. Greg is scheduled to get out of the Navy on May 11th. The mother told my son last night that she is moving to Tokyo in June for at least a year. Although in the beginning Greg signed an affidavit stating that she could take his daughter out of the country for a visit (her parents live in Tokyo because of her fathers job), is there anything my son can do to stop her from taking her out of the country permanently until he can get some kind of visitation arrangements made through the court? Or, is there anything I can do on Gregs behalf?
