Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My father is wanting to get divorced from my step mother, they have been married for 10 yrs. she is and expert in divorce, this will be her 5th. my dad is retired and has two companies, how can he protect his assets? can he put the companies in my name to that she won't get them? also the house is in his name but she wants that too. please help he knows he is going to lose a lot of money so he doesn't want to hire an attorney, which I told him was wrong. she asked him for 90k cash and she would walk away, but I don't believe her. please reply back thanks!

Please prevail upon your father to hire a lawyer. That's going to be the only way to protect his assets. Could be that the lawyer could save him enough to pay the fees. Any attempt to transfer property now would be futile because her lawyer will have it all brought back into court. Could cost him a lot of money.
