Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Can another family get legal custody of my daughter without me signing papers? My ex wife lives in Ohio, but the divorce happened in Texas where I live, and she igned over legal custody of my daughter to another family without my consent in Ohio. I had court ordered visitation in Texas and now this family won't let me see my daughter. Is this legal without my consent

No, it's not legal.

Your signature is not required; however, you must at least be notified of any court action regarding your children. It's an issue of due process.

You should gather up your file (all the documents you have about the Texas case and the Ohio case) and talk to a Texas lawyer first. It will probably turn out that you need an Ohio lawyer.
