Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have a family member, that has been living with me for about 7 months. Over that time we have had a few disagreements, one leading to me calling the police to my home.

The police said he had residence at my home because I allowed him to stay so lone, and they would not be able to make him leave.

What can i do to get this person out, before something serious happens?

If you are not married, then go to Small Claims Court and ask to have him evicted.
