Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

family

My question is...in the state of Texas, can I get married without my parents consent? My parents are in the process of getting a divorce and with that brings a lot of trouble. There is fighting all the time, calling the cops on each other, I can't even talk to parents without them yelling at me. I am 16 my boyfriend is 17. His parents give me everything: food, clothes, money, and even a job. They've been more of a mom and dad to me than my parents. They already told me that they would take me in and provide for me.

Re: family

Between 16-18 you need your parent's consent.

If they won't give their consent, you can ask a Judge to allow you to marry.

Read the TX Family Code Section 2.103 for what you need to do. It's not easy and you will probably need an attorney to help you with the legal process.
