Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Family separation

Separated from a signaficant other and it was has been 16 months. Now they are looking for 2 items with little face value that were left at my home. I don't have the items. They reported that they would have the police meet them at my home. what should I do? will the police really come to my home?

Re: Family separation

The police MIGHT show up, especially depending on whether they are told the truth or a lie by your former significant other. If they show up, explain that the person has been gone 16 months, and this is the first time they asked for the item, and you have no clue where it is. Likely to be chalked up as a civil matter. In the unlikely event they actually press charges, don't make any other statements.
