Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

family violence (threat)

a couple of years ago i made the mistake of telling my wife that i would kick her a**. her friend called the sherriffs office and upon me confirming that i did say this they arrested me. my wife did not press charges the county did. i spent the night in jail and pleaded guilty. there was no alcohol or drugs involved, just a heated argument. we are still married by the way.

three questions:

1. was this legal?

3. can i get this off my record?

2. i want to obtain a concealed handgun liscense. will this prevent me from obtaining a liscense?

Was it legal? Yes

You have a serious problem and I advise you to retain a criminal lawyer to discuss your options with you.

You did not state what crime you pled guilty to so you need to talk to an attorney.

Sendind out an email on such an important question is not a good idea.
