Not the father

i have a child who is under my name. The child is not mine and i am paying child surpport. how do i get the baby off my name and on the baby's father?

You will need to hire a lawyer, as this is too complicated to do on your own. You will need to file a petition to establish paternity, take a DNA test and prove you are not the parent. If you were married to the child's mother, it will be even more complicated.

Since you are already paying child support, there must already be an order naming you the father of this child and ordering support. The time to have contested the child's paternity was when that order was done. It may not be possible to change things now. Take a copy of the current order and sit down with a good family law attorney in your area. Good luck!
