Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Father if 2 children incarcerated since April 2009. Release date of april 2011. In September 2009 his children were taken from his common law spouse and placed with family friends. He just received this week a notice in prison that he is required to pay child support. How does this work as he has no income?

It's very unlikely that he'll pay child support.

When he gets out of prison, he will owe the back child support. It sounds crazy, but it's the law.
