Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Father drug user... will moving help me in custody?

My daughter's father was using meth until 2 weeks ago. He keeps the same friends around that are using drugs. I know this is bad for both he and my girl. I have been trying to work it out while living at a friend's house. He has no job, responsibility toward our child, and has not seeked help for his problems.

Can I move in state or out to jelp keep her away from these people and his actions? He is not violent physically except in the case of blocking me or physically removing her and taking her somewhere away from me.

I only work part-time, so I can be available after school for my daughter and I can not afford legal help. What are my options?

Is there a women's shelter in your area? You need help and a shelter is a good place to start.
