Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am the father, established custody via OAG assistance for the last 5 years. The case is in tarrant county.

I live in Collin County....the NCP lives in Coryell County and filed a motion to modify so she can have custody and a temporary restraining order preventing me from moving. (I discussed moving with the kids awhile ago but have not made any commitments to it).

I don't have enough time to fund a lawyer as i only have 10 days to the court appearance. What are my options for buying more time to get a lawyer? I will add detail if necessary.

If you have lived in Collin County for 90 days, you'll want to file a motion to transfer venue along with your first pleading (which will be an answer in the form of a general denial).

And file a motion for continuance. It has to be sworn.

If you suspect that her earnings have increased since the last order, go ahead and file a counter-motion to modify to increase child support.
