Can a father get joint custody of his 9 month old baby just to get out of paying child support, when she is well taken care of by the mother?

In Texas it is PRESUMED that the parents will have joint custody of a child.

So, that is not the right question to ask.

Having JOINT CUSTODY will NOT eliminate a parent paying CHILD SUPPORT.

You definately need to talk to an attorney to discuss parental rights, duties and obligations. You definately DO NOT UNDERSTAND a person's rights, duties and obligations.

JOINT CUSTODY does not mean that a person will NOT pay child support.

LASTLY, joint custody does NOT mean that a person would have a child custody of a 9 month old baby 50% of the time.

Run...don't walk...into an attorney's office.

You are not in my area but I charge $1 per minute to talk.

Email me if you want to meet with me.

If you can't afford $1 a minute to talk...then you are in REAL TROUBLE.

Most people spend 1-2 hours with me.
