Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my father passed away 3 years ago, and so we had to put my mother in a nursing home (she is currently 80 years old). The inheritance my father left for her has run out, due to her $4,000 a month nursing home bill. I only make $2,000 a month so I cannot pay for the bill and medicare will not pay for it. What do I do?
