First, I'm so sorry for what you are going through. This is a really rought road. I'm been on this journey for over 15 years with my aging parents.

You need to hire an experienced attorney to help you. Prices vary dramatically. You need someone that does elder law, probate law, or wills law.

You don't state where you live so I can't tell where to send you.

In the Houston area, I highly recommend W. KEVIN ALTER AT 713-526-2333. His firm is Hebinck & Alter. I have used him personally and send a lot of people to him. He is calm and very patient.

You might also want to hire a care manager to help you. There are many out there.

You might want to call me. I charge $2 per minute for a consultation. I do this because people need advice and they don't know where to turn. My website is www.familylaw4u.com.

I might be able to put you on the right path.

The Houston Bar Association has a great brochure on-line for free on elder law. Go to their website and read it. You can google them. It's under "for the public". It's pretty long so if you print it out you will need a lot of paper.
