Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am the father of my son. i originally thought i was married to his mother but the marriage certificate was never sent in. she left 6 years ago. i never thought much of it till i have began to run into things that require both parents.. i have no idea where she is. what steps should i take?? abandonment?? i have to have full custody..

She has not attempted to make any contact with me in those 6 years..

The lack of a marriage license, or irregularities in "sending it in," do not usually negate a marriage. Was there a ceremony? Did you and she live together and represent yourselves to others as husband and wife?

How did you get "full custody?"

You need to go talk to a good family lawyer. Call one and tell him you'll give him $100 if he'll consult with you and give you some advice.
