Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If a the father's name is on the birth certificate and he has signed an acknowledgement of paternity but the parents are not married, what rights does he have to see his child? There is no custody agreement in the court nor does he provide any support but expects to see his child on a regular basis.

In order to get court-ordered visitation with the child, he will have to go to Court. He has to file a petition, get Mom served, and either (a) get her to agree to some visitation schedule or (b) ask the Judge to order what he wants.

The visitation order, by the way, will also order the payment of child support each month.
