Father's rights

Mother and father have joint conservatorship of a 7 yr old. Child lives with father but father is away in prison, step mom is raising him now. Does father still have say so rights? Can bio mom just take child? Bio mom does not want step mom to raise child, wants child to go live with grandma, fathers mom. Step mom and grandma does not think child should be uprooted. Bio mom does not know about father. What if she finds out? Bio mom does not want child, but just doesnt want him with step mom, shes jealous. Who has rights? Can step mom, or grandma say what dad wants?

I think these are the facts your presented -- if not, then my answer would be different.

Parents are joint manag. conservators. Father has the right to designate where the child lives.

Father is now in prison.

Mother can ask to modify the current arrangement. She has every right to do so since she is a parent of the child.
