Maybe you already know that the Family Code is not biased to mothers in custody cases. If you wanted to do case research, you would need either Lexis, Westlaw or Lois Law. I don't know of any other services. they have credit card availability on the internet, but it is expensive. I pay $155/mo. There are a few hundred best lawyers. Whether any one of them could get the results you want is again a factor of money(the most expensive is not necessarily always the best) and depends on the facts of your case. Put some work into it and shop around for someone you feel good about. Good Luck.
Re: Fathers winning
You need an attorney that does a lot of family law in the county you live. I also agree with James that the most expensive does not mean you will win.
The courts look for the best interest of the children.
No case is won or lost on one event. You need to show a pattern of neglect or abuse.
Also, school teachers make great witnesses.
In the Harris County area, I recommend Patricia Bushman or Judy Ritts. Both have gotten men custody of children.
Don't waste money on a p.i. Anyone with personal knowledge can testify. A p.i. can only testify to what they saw just like any other person.
Good luck!
