Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My fiance has two children with his soon to be ex (divorce is in process...), hasn't seen the children in months and is looking to relinquish his rights. Is this possible? Will he be responsible for child support?

Yes, he can voluntarily relinquish his parental rights. It requires a petition and a trip to the courthouse (and the cooperation of Mom).
The last hurdle is the Judge. Even if Mom and Dad agree, the Judge can say "no," that is, he may find that the termination is not in the child's best interest. I have seen this happen twice.
