Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My fiance was denied visitation for his 8 year old daughter on his court ordered weekend 4/20/12-4/22/12. We live in Dallas, TX, the child lives in Deer Park, TX (Harris County/Houston). The mother had her brother (child's uncle) come to the door and say the child did not wish to go, and we could call the police. We did, incident Number 2012-122115. How much (BALLPARK)would it cost for representation in a visitation enforcement? Is it possible to request the mother take a parenting class?

This will be a contempt case. I assume that the order came out of Harris County. You should plan to pay around $2500.00.

You don't have to stop at contempt - you can ask for modifications of the order. Ask that Mom be ordered to post a bond, and perhaps other creative measures to ensure that this doesn't happen again. Ask that a parenting coordinator be appointed, and that Mom pay for him. You may not get all this stuff, but it will scare Mom when she reads your petition.
