Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My fiance and i want to get married asap but she was in a 9 year abusive relationship in which she was forced to file taxes jointly with him although she didn't take his last name. , can you tell me what i can do? he says they have to get a divorce. what exactly constitutes a common law marriage?

I would go talk to an experienced family law attorney in your county immediately.

A divorce can only take approximately 60 days - 2 months if it's agreed.
