Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Help

My ex fiance and I never married, we had a child together. I was wondering who has more rights, or are they equal? Can I take my child out of state and not get in trouble with the law? Thanks

Re: Help

Sounds like there is no order of the court affecting your possession of the child. He also has an equal right to possession of the child (although unfortunately some guys don't want to for some reason). Without an order of the court spelling out who has the right to what, you can take the child anywhere, anytime.
