Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My fiance signed over rights to his daughter so the step father could adopt her. He signed papers that he gave up his full rights including past present and future child support papers. The Attorney General is taking half of his check to pay her for child support. Can they legally do this? We sent the paper to the Attorney General but they will not drop the case. What should we do?

Simply signing a voluntary termination of rights does not terminate the parent's rights. The document your fianc signed must be reviewed and approved by a Texas Court.
If the Court has already terminated your fiancs rights, then the document you should sent to the Texas Attorney General's office is the order terminating rights.
You should consult an attorney for a more in-depth analysis of your situation.
Good Luck!
