Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Can my ex file for divorce in TX? Can he get alimony from me?
We married 3 years ago, have no kids together. We married in MS, lived in MS together until he moved to TX 7 months ago to live with his 21 y/o nephew. He won't sign no fault divorce papers that I have. He says he will get a lawyer and get the divorce himself when he saves up $500.

He can file for divorce in texas if he has lived in texas for 9 months and resided in the county where the divorce is to be filed for 90 days.
However if you file before he does, then that court has jurisdiction. You should get a lawyer to help you with this. If your husband has a job, it is unlikely he can get alimony from you. (It's called spousal support in Texas).
