What is the best way to file a divorce that will not cost me the most? I do have a child involved.

Shop around. Call your local bar association. Make some appointments for free consultations.

While you can represent yourself, you can make some mistakes that will cost you in the end.

Also, friendly divorces cost less.

Certainly a friendly / uncontested / agreed divorce will cost less. Look around for fees.
