may i file for a legal separation if my husband is working internationally

my husband is working out of the country and has taken all the money from our bank and is not paying bills and just wants to give me only so much to live on. i want to file for a legal separation for support for me and my child.

Texas does not recognize legal separation.

You have to file for divorce.

I would ask for temporary orders to get some child support coming in.
