Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Can I file on my own
I recently had my son return to live with me and my wife. His mother could not handle him any longer, he is 17 years old. I am presently paying Child support on him and his younger brother. Last year I found out that my ex decided to move out of the country with the kids, Mexico. She is still there, since my oldest boy is now residing with me can the child support be canceled entirely since she actually underhandedly moved the boys out of the country without my knowledge. I live in Texas and my ex and the youngest boy are still in Mexico around the California border. Are my hands tied as far as me changing/stopping the childsupport. I do not believe she would stop it since that would mean she would have to surface.

You don't need her permission to file a motion to modify the previous child support order. A competent family law attorney can fix this for you.
