Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I filed for divorce May 4 and he filed a counter petition on June 21. What is a petition expiration alert? Does this mean my original petition will expire? how long does before this happens?

Am not sure what you mean by an expiration alert. Most courts will issue a DWOP notice, stating that if action is not taken by a certain deadline, that the court will, of its own motion, dismiss it for failure to prosecute it. Each court sets their own docket, but it is usually around 6 months from the date of filing.
