Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex filed a Motion to Modify his child support in order to get the amount decreased. I filed an Answer and Counter-Petition for Enforcement before the 20-day deadline and have since amended it twice to include other arrearages. Does my amended counter-petition have to be personally served on him with a citation even though a copy was provided by fax to his attorney of record?
