Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have just filed my papers at the District Clerks office in Galveston, Texas to get a non-contested divorce. They told me I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can appear before the judge. They will not tell me how much time I have to wait because they sai they can't answer any "legal" questions. Can you please tell me whats the next step?
