Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Filing Charges for False reports

My family has been the subject of some false reports and harassment. these reports are to Child Protective Services, The Police Department, The Schools that the children attend, and a few other places.

We have proof of one person who has made these false reports, and know of two or three other people who may be involved. We were wondering if we can, and who we contact to file charges against these people to make this harassmant stop and to see that it does not happen again.

Any help and advice would be gracefully accepted.

Thank you

Re: Filing Charges for False reports

Are you able to prove your allegations? Both the identity of the person, and the fact that the allegations were false; and that the allegations were made maliciously, and that you suffered damages. These are necessary elements to a cause of action. If so, you may be able to make out a criminal and civil cause of action. A civil lawyer will require payment for their services. A criminal case is handled by the police department, but will be far more difficult to establish. If you can establish the elements, contact an attorney in your area for a consultation to determine your options.
