Hello I am trying to find what the legal age in Texas is to choose which parent can take custody of me and my sister

I think 12 is probably the age that you're talking about, but it's not quite that simple. At 12, you can discuss with the judge which parent you want to live with and why. The judge, having heard not just from you but also all of the other evidence in the case, then uses that information to decide what would be in your best interests.
