Firing an attorney
My son was very poorly represented in his divorce and custody case. The attorney not only did a poor job in the courtroom, but has also overcharged him extensively. He was charged for hearings that didn't exist and for rewriting papers 4 times (when it was given to him in writing the first time). My son & his ex have reached an agreement and would like to finalize the divorce. However, my son wants another attorney to finish this matter. We sent a letter to the attorney telling him we no longer required his services. What else to we need to do to change attorneys?

hire a new attorney who will submit a motion and order of substitution. DOnt wait on the old attorney.

Hire a new attorney and have them deal with the other attorney.
