Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

forced separation

My husband and I were involved in a domestic dispute a little over a month ago. I got the protective order dropped and am not pressing any charges; however, the county is still investigating the dispute at this time. We are going to marriage counseling and would like to resolve the issue. The county attorney has mandated a forced separation in which we are not to be seen out together or cohabitate. We have four children together and would like to reconcile. I feel like we are in limbo, and this is not fair to us or our children. What are our rights?

Re: forced separation

I'm not sure how a county attorney mandates anything. Get a hearing on the protective order and get an order from the judge.
