Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Forms needed for an uncontested divorce in Texas

What forms do I need for an uncontested divorce? We were considered common law and filed our taxes together in 2007 for the year of 2006. We have not been living together for over a year, we have already split our belongings, share no accounts, property, or children. We have both lived in the same county we were ''married'' in for at least 6 months. I got some forms online but I'm not sure which ones to file. Most forms have questions that don't apply. Do I leave them black or write n/a?

If you actually want to dissolve this marriage, then hire a lawyer for an uncontested divorce, and do it right. The problem with trying to do it yourself, is, as you have learned with the online forms, you don't know what to do. A divorce such as you describe is relatively inexpensive compared to the cost of doing wrong.
